Stop Trading Your Time For Money: Holistic Practitioner
Time, our only finite resource in this lifetime. We will never get back time.
As a Nux Vomica constitution my time is my most valued asset I have, and because of that, it is why I am driven to facilitate holistic practitioners so they are able to grow their business in a way that does not require them to be perpetually “on”.
Let me paint you a picture of what I see with a lot of women that I mentor:
I want to introduce you to “Lisa”, a skilled holistic practitioner. She spends her days moving from client to client, providing exceptional care through massage. At the end of each day, she’s exhausted—not just physically, but emotionally. She is holding so much for each, and every client she works with. She looks over her bills and realizes that she is just barely covering the minimum with a little bit extra to toss into savings at the end of every month.
She realizes that this is not sustainable longterm and knows she needs to get creative if she wants to hang up the massage table in the next 20 years… sound familiar? 😉
So many holistic practitioners that I mentor embody this “Lisa”, find themselves stuck in this cycle of trading their precious time for money. During our sessions I help practitioners like you map out a new reality —one that allows you to serve more clients, make a greater impact, and create a business that nourishes you, too. (don’t worry, I provide PRACTICAL tools not just theoretical advise)
As a holistic practitioner (and just being a human in general), your time and energy are your most precious resources. What I offer is an invitation to step outside of this cycle and this can look different for your modality of choice! The following strategies are all ways to expand your impact without burning out!:
Create Group Programs or Workshops: One to MANY
By offering group programs, whether it's wellness retreats, virtual healing circles, or in-person workshops, you can support multiple clients at once, maximizing both your impact and your income in a single session.
Example: If you’re a herbalist, consider hosting seasonal workshops on natural remedies for common seasonal symptoms, teaching clients how to integrate plant medicine into their daily lives.
Develop Digital Offerings: (stick with me here!)
Create courses, eBooks, or guided meditations that clients can purchase and access in their own time. These digital products not only allow you to share your wisdom on a broader scale but also generate evergreen content/income.
Example: An acupuncturist could create a self-paced course on acupressure points to relieve stress, available as a download for clients who can’t visit regularly.
Implement a Membership Model:
Instead of clients paying per session, offer a membership program that includes monthly treatments, access to digital content, and support between visits. This creates steady, recurring income and a deeper connection with your clients.
Example: A bodyworker might offer a ‘Holistic Wellness Membership’ where clients receive a set number of massages, as well as access to exclusive content, such as self-care tips and stretching routines.
Offer Packages Instead of Single Sessions:
Move away from single, transactional sessions by offering packages that bundle your services together. For instance, a prenatal package for birth workers could include ongoing support, educational resources, and postpartum care, rather than just a one-time birth session.
Example: A Reiki practitioner could offer a "Healing Journey" package, where clients commit to multiple sessions over a set period, receiving holistic guidance along with energy healing.
Affiliate or Referral Income: (Seriously underrated!)
Partner with like-minded brands or practitioners to create affiliate relationships, where you receive a commission for referring clients or recommending products you believe in.
Example: A homeopathic practitioner could recommend specific remedies or grafting materials / tools and receive a commission for each sale made through their referral links.
When you diversify your income streams, you will no longer feel limited by the hours in your day. You’ll be able to serve more clients in creative and impactful ways while creating a business model that supports your own well-being and personal growth.
Imagine having more time for yourself, feeling less burnt out, and experiencing financial stability—even on the days you aren’t physically working. You’ll go from being a practitioner constantly stretched thin to one who is nourished and thriving, fully embodying the principles of holistic living you advocate for.
